Excellent accommodation with bonus of hot tub that’s under cover and so can be used no matter the weather. Good location for visiting places of interest and within easy reach of Colchester. Friendly owners.

If you are looking for the perfect location, holiday or a few days rest and relaxation then Clavering Farm meets all your needs, the farm is owned and run by two of the most welcoming couple you could wish to meet, the setting is just perfect, wether you stay in the two bedroom lodge or the single both are of a very high standard, both my wife and l have stayed in both for a period of six months waiting for our bungalow to be built and we can honestly say we could not have stayed at a more friendly and wonderful location l can highly, highly recommend Clavering Farm Greenstead Green.

We had a lovely week here. The lodge and surrounding area are stunning . Spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfy. Ed was very welcoming and down to earth, we felt very much at home here and would definitely recommend.

My wife & I spent a few months at Whistler Lodge, waiting for a new home. The lodge was comfortable, spacious, warm and well appointed. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, with the farmyard always providing interest and enjoyment. When the completion of our new home was delayed, Claire & Edward kindly allowed us to stay on. We cannot recommend the Lodges highly enough.

Beautiful place, wonderful lodge! I spent 7 months in Appleyard Lodge which was perfect. The owners ensure the property is clean, in brilliant order, and are very kind whilst giving you privacy. They are always available if you need something and are extremely accommodating. The location is quiet and charming. I would highly recommend staying at any of their lodges whether for a short stay or longer.

A wonderful break we had in Aylesbury lodge, perfect location as quiet with a short drive to amenities. The lodge and garden was lovely and spacious with an added bonus of the hot tub. Definitely will recommend and hope to return soon. Thank you for making us welcome 😀

So glad we booked to stay here, peaceful and beautiful area. Lodge is fantastic, loads of room with everything could need. Super comfy and a wonderful hot tub to relax in and unwind. Claire and Edward the owners always on hand and very helpful. Already booked for next year.

What an amazing lodge, it was just what we needed, total relaxation, the lodge is full equipped and sufficient for all our needs, the area was totally tranquil with amazing views, we will definitely be back, highly recommend.

It was really nice and private. We had a slight problem with the hot tub temperature as it was too cold, as soon as we contacted Edward about the hot tub temperature he came within minutes. He was very helpful.
Couple of things to improve would be to be told about the window cleaners and to have a curtain/blind/privacy window on the front door.

The perfect place. Everything was amazing, the host, the house and the location. All new, super warm and comfortable. We’ll be telling anyone who will listen - stay here!!

First time booking here and I must say from the moment booking, everything was so simple and easy. Claire was contactable all the time and answered my numerous questions. They both also made the experience lasting, decorating the place for a birthday and checked in with what I needed. Certainly recommend their service and I wouldn't hesitate booking again in the future. Thank you again!

Wonderful mini break for our family of 3 plus 1 dog. The lodge was spotlessly clean when we arrived, very spacious with all the facilities we needed. A newly built lodge that felt very homely.
There is loads of space that our dog could enjoy, fully enclosed so felt very secure. The hot tub is a real bonus, meticulously maintained by Edward each day. Would highly recommend for a peaceful relaxing break.

What a amazing place, so picturesque.
The lodge was amazing so bright and plenty of space! The hot tub was great. Very friendly and approachable hosts.
Let’s not forget the ducks 🦆 and rhea’s Rita & Ken who love the attention. Will be visiting again very soon.

Location, cleanliness, friendliness of hosts and attention to detail makes this lodge an absolute GEM. The warm welcome we received upon arrival and provision of essentials made our stay one to remember.
The accommodation is light and spacious, the fabulous outdoor seating area along with the Hot Tub made our time here so relaxing.
Claire and Edward responded to any questions we had promptly, their local knowledge of the area definitely comes from a long standing history of farming at Claverings.

An amazing place to stay!! The lodge was absolutely beautiful, it was very clean with some lovely touches. The hot tub was an added bonus, the location was perfect and relaxing!

Wow what an amazing place, we are currently staying in the new Aylesbury lodge and it is just fantastic ,could not ask for more spotlessly clean and so cosy. so spacious and modern with the welcome of tea,coffee,sugar,biscuits milk and a few extra touches made us feel right at
home. Claire & Edward are just the best hosts so acommodating to me and my 2 boys and there if you need anything even brought me round a lovely bottle of red wine everything is fantastic the privacy and space and not to mention the hot tub we are already booking again for this month. felt like home but just more peaceful cannot wait to return, thank you for the best weekend x
